I’ve got “guf / nefesh” tattooed on my knees - which is an old teaching, speaking of balancing both your present and future self in everything you do, grounded in the present, something I’ve definitely struggled with this year. It’s about choosing the right thing, doing the good honest thing. Self preservation.
