COMMISSIONS RATES AND TERMS. 

1.SCOPE AND PROCESS​

• Deliverables: All sizes of painted works are available to commission. Video work is available for commission, as well as photography (film or digital), poster work, murals, or any other way you can envision us working together. Please note that all commissions will be created with my style and flare. Do not ask for a recreation of someone else's work. 

• Revisions:  The commissioner has the right to revisions during the creation process. The artist holds the right to refuse unreasonable revisions.  This does not include the sketching and ideas period. Revisions must be reasonable, and not entirely alter the idea, image, or process of the work. 

• Turnaround Time:  Completion dates are dependant on the size of the work, and the subject commissioned. Expedited works can be created for an additional fee. 

• Approval Process:  First, a call or email is scheduled to discuss ideas, prices and possibilities. If the artist accepts, a 50% , non-refundable deposit is then made.

• Ideas are then discussed in depth, with sketches, colour palettes, and detailed references from both parties to ensure a clear collaborative foundation. Approval is given once the idea is firm, and the baseline process, turnaround time, idea and sketches are accepted by the commissioner. Upon approval, the creation of the work will begin. It is during this period where revisions are allowed. When approval is given, the Kill Fee then applies. (see fees below).

2. USAGE AND RIGHTS

• Copyright: Rio Campbell reserves all copyright and reproduction rights of the work even after the sale.

• Usage License:  Most work will be created for personal use only. If the client is purchasing commercial rights, different fees apply, which will be discussed together.

• Portfolio Rights:  Rio Campbell reserves the right to display the work in portfolios, websites or on social media.

3. LOGISTICS AND SHIPPING

• Shipping & Materials: The commissioner pays for shipping costs, and will bear any costs related to shipping or customs. This price will be estimated during the ideas period, once scale, material, weight and size have been discussed. 

• Termination: The artist has the right to terminate the process if communication breaks down without notice, (e.g., 30 days of no response) or for unforeseeable events from either party that frustrate the creation and / or continuation of the commission.

4. PAYMENT TERMS 

• Deposit: After the negotiations and ideas period, a 50%, non -refundable deposit is required. Specific deposit prices may change depending on the work, and financial requirements of the person commissioning. 

• Final Payment:  The remainder of the payment must be paid before shipping the artwork, sending the files/ posters/ images / video. 

• Payment Methods: Paypal, Bank Transfer or cash depending on location. 

• Kill Fee: A fee (50-100% of the cost) is applied  if the client cancels the work once the ideas are approved, and the creative process has begun. The percentage of the fee increases depending on a range of reasonable factors, including (but not limited to) scale, material cost, time spent, and  how close the work was to completion.
